As most horse owners know, the onset of winter brings with it a number of issues that can affect our four legged friends.
The usual things can pop up such as seedy toe, mud fever, rain scald, and greasy heel, but it is also a time that horses can require a longer time warming up and warming down their muscles before and after a training session. Horses can also injure themselves very easily in slippery wet paddocks. If you have any concerns about how your horse is moving in the paddock, or how he is working under saddle, please give me a call and we can give your horse a once over and discuss some treatment and training options.
